Groundz4Living was literally borne out of a dream that Ken Becker had in January of 2006. From that dream, Groundz4Living, a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization, has had a ministry presence at The Greene Town Center which is located at I-675 and Indian Ripple Road. The Greene opened on August 24, 2006 and Groundz4Living was there on that first day!

Founders, Ken and Cathy Becker have a big heart for those working in retail management and sales. Over the years, they have seen too many people crash and burn under the stresses of retail sales. Their goal and desire is to make a positive difference in the lives of those serving in retail. Groundz4Living exists to “Bring a Hope and a Future to the Marketplace.”

Groundz4Living has now expanded into Florida. The Beckers have transitioned to St. Augustine, Florida to continue their work in the Marketplace, not just in a town center setting, but throughout an entire county, St. John’s County!

The Beckers have been in full-time ministry since 1977 until August of 2006. Ken has worked as a Youth Pastor, Outreach Pastor, and Senior Pastor in Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio. Most recently he co-pastored Christ’s Church in Bellbrook, Ohio.

Cathy has worked in retail for over 30 years. She has worked at the major malls in the Dayton area, Salem, Dayton, Fairfield Commons Malls, The Greene Town Center and most recently The Jeffersonville Outlet The Beckers have lived in Kettering, Ohio and have three grown children, one adorable grandson and two beautiful granddaughters! They are currently in process of moving to St. Augustine, Florida.

Chris and Citlali Sayson

Chris and Citlali Sayson are the G4L team in Beavercreek, Ohio at The Greene Town Center.

The Saysons continue the ministry started by the Beckers. They also have a heart for people in the Marketplace. Their focus and desire is to see new believers discipled and grow in their relationship with God to the point where they can reproduce themselves in others.

Their desire is also to plant a non-traditional church in the Marketplace. They desire to provide a venue for those they reach so they can attend classes, group meetings, discipleship training, etc., to fulfill the dream they have to impact the Miami Valley Marketplace.

Ken and Cathy Becker have partnered with Marketplace Ministry CPR(Christian Professional Resources), founded by Ken and Norma Asplund, in St. Augustine, Florida. www.upray2.com

Through this partnership, Ken and Cathy will work with Marketplace Ministry CPR in ‘Bringing a Hope and a Future’ to those in our longest continuously inhabited city in the US. They are working with Marketplace Ministry CPR and with the local businessmen and women, pastors, government officials, educators to bring about a citywide spiritual transformation of St. Augustine for Jesus.

Ken and Cathy provide spiritual, economic, personal and emotional support with a solid Biblical basis to those businessmen and women to help them become a greater influence upon the city of St. Augustine and the entire St. John’s County. They encourage all facets of the city to work together for the betterment of the individuals who live and work there as well as building a network of businesses to meet the needs of the community.

Marketplace Ministry CPR holds weekly prayer times for pastors, monthly prayer with the school superintendent at his office for staff and students, a monthly luncheon designed to encourage and challenge all those working in the marketplace, and personal prayer support for any who request it.

The Beckers believe in the vision of Founders Ken and Norma Asplund, and are working hard to bring that vision to completion, to see St. Augustine, Florida transformed for Jesus!
